Welcome to 2015! We have an exciting year ahead.
Lisa brought our January door prize. We haven't seen snow yet, so this little paperclay snowman was a sweet delight (and probably the only snow any of us want to see!)
One more little snow creature: Connie made 3 of Cindee Moyer's "Treesa" dolls over the holiday, two in blue & white and 1 in deep green.
One of our new members, Cathy, brought her lovely & very detailed doll from a Patti Culea pattern with a seahorse friend. They will go against a quilted background. She is combining her love of quilting with a new adventure in doll making. (we regretfully didn't get a good picture of the quilted background).
Jack introduced us to a new doll on the market, whose proportions are said to be more realistic than that well known plastic princess of perfection.
This new doll is full of self confidence & sass. She won't be asking that old question, "Do these jeans make my...?"
We also had a surprise guest drop in...
Fun! Jack has granddaughters. He wanted to show us some of the new toys on the market for little girls. Boys have their helicopters and now girls can launch a flying object too!
We ended our meeting with shopping, always a favorite pasttime. Doreen brought a box of lace to give away, compliments of a friend. Thank you, Doreen's Friend!!
It's January, the holidays were busy, and it's cold. Our meeting was short with only a few Show & Tell items, but as always - it was a great time. We're about to get busy on our spring challenge doll - FAIRIES!!
