We had a nice meeting on a hot summer Saturday. We welcomed a new member, had a few show & tell dolls, a fun door prize, fabric pillaging, and 2 (!) programs! It was a full afternoon.
This is Laurie's work in progress. The fabric draped over her shoulder will be an overskirt.
She has lovely eyes! Her pettipants are trimmed with hand-beading.
This is one of Doreen's mischievous elves.
He must've gotten into trouble somewhere - he's lost part of an ear!
Another of Doreen's fun creations. Her dolls always have so much personality!
Nark showed us this charming lady crow. Her wings are made from some interesting material Nark cut from a coat.
This doll is full of interesting details, including a bead trimmed purse that Annie contributed to her ensemble.
The feet are crafted of chamois cloth.
Kathy sent the door prize and Jennepher won it. A wonderful gift, practical & fun!
Connie did a program on embellished wings. It was a combination of a technique she learned from one of our programs several years ago and an online tutorial by Jean Bernard. Here are links to both:

Then we had a bonus program! Carlyn shared a technique she picked up from an online Karen Baker class. She explained building up clay feet using aluminum tape (available at hardware stores) and aluminum foil.
But to learn the whole thing, you'll either have to take the class on Curious Mondo or talk to Carlyn!
Coming events -- we're going to be part of the Tulsa Maker Faire on Aug. 25. Getting ready for the state fair. We're doing an in-house workshop in October and having our annual Christmas luncheon in December. No wonder the years go by so fast!
