Welcome to our March Meeting recap! As always, we had a great time. This particular meeting had lots of business discussion but not quite as much in the Show & Tell department. People must be getting other things done before diving into the spring workshop.
Laurie brought her finished Steampunk gal. This doll had so many interesting possibilities for embellishments! No two have been alike.
Such pretty green eyes. And to lace the boots, she used hook n' eyes. Clever!
Shirley gave a great program on how to make easy fairy wings. She saw these somewhere & figured out how they were made and wrote down some instructions to give us. Thank you, Shirley!
You could embellish these as much or as little as you want.
Connie made the door prize. It's another rendition of "Blooms" (Barbara Schoenoff's pattern).
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, this little lass is blooming some glittery four-leaf clovers and lotsa green!
And, naturally, she had to have red hair. You can't see it here but she's wearing a green & white flower on a gold headband.
When you visit us next time, you'll be seeing some pictures from our spring workshop with Sherry Goshon. We are very excited about the mixed-media doll she's teaching (March 23-24). Be sure to check back in a week or so!
