More September Show&Tell

We had a lovely visitor at our meeting. Her name is Joy and she has moved here from South Africa. (This is not Joy.)

Some friends heard about TDD and thought she might like to check us out. She even brought some show & tell, and what a treat...!

Joy not only made the adorable bear, pictured above, but had a business in her homeland where she made porcelain dolls. This little girl was absolutely exquisite.

Joy makes everything on the doll, from head to toe. The craftsmanship is beautiful.

Our Talequah friends were able to attend the meeting! It's always a treat to see Shari & Joyce. (This is not Shari & Joyce, but dolls they brought.)

Our "other" Sherri, brought her Hoffman doll, just returned from traveling the country!

We are proud of Sherri! This is not the only doll of hers that's been chosen by the Hoffman Challenge to travel in the trunk show. We're also impressed that she made something so pretty out of fabric that everyone thought, well, challenging :)

Connie brought an angel without wings last month. This month she brought the finished wings. The angel is ready to fly to her new owner!

Our meeting concluded with our second favorite thing to do (after Show & Tell)...

Fabric Pillaging! Thanks Sherri, for bringing goodies to share!

We have a fall workshop coming up in October. Stop back for fun pictures from that!

TDD September Show&Tell

It was a wonderful Saturday meeting this weekend! We had a good attendance, good meeting, a great time talking, visitors, some fabric pillaging, and many beautiful dolls to see!

This is Jean's lovely lady.

She always does beautiful beadwork.

Laurie brought the Hobbit Lady costume she made for a recent convention. It wouldn't have done justice to the dress to photograph it laying on the table, so we're just highlighting the parasol & hat. (She has dozens of pictures on her Facebook, if you're a friend and would like to see more.)

And she bought some goodies at the convention & brought them to show.

Our little Anna made this adorable doll for her new nephew (niece?) She has a goal to make one doll a month.

Jack showed us the thank-you gift Pam made for him for filling in as treasurer this summer.

This is a Pocket Pal pattern Doreen share with us.

We have a few more to show in the next post. Check back!
