August Show & Tell

The Doll Days of Summer are here! Even though the local temp has been unusually mild for August, our love of art dolls is still hot!

The Arkansas Girls brought two dolls made by the group. (Were they called "sewing circle" dolls? Something like that...the doll is passed around and each person adds something to it.)

We have a couple members out recovering from surgery; one on vacation and one at a conference, so our Show & Tell was a bit sparse this month. However, we did have TWO door prizes (coz "someone" forgot to bring hers last month).

Jennepher won this cutie made by Carlyn.

Lisa won this altered mint tin, made by Connie (an idea she got in June from Shauna).

Lots of fun coming up this fall. We're ending summer with a demo table at the Tulsa Mini-Maker Faire. Please come visit! We'll have many entries at the Tulsa State Fair. We're still deciding on a fall workshop teacher but we did decide our spring challenge will be Fairies!!

So, as the song goes...see you in September!

A Little Braggin'

Congratulations to two of our TDD members!! Carlyn's Moonlight Serenade cricket was published in the Autumn issue of Art Doll Quarterly! Connie did the photography for her. [usually ADQ prefers to do their own photography, but they accepted Connie's photo submission].  We are excited for both of them!
