September Show & Tell

We just had a few Show & Tell today. A guest artist brought this amazing work and pictures of many of her other pieces. She has a background in costume & stage design. Best of all, she decided to join us!

This figure is made of cold porcelain, macrame, beads & silk paper.

 Pat's grand lady.

Doreen's elegant lady.

Ben's new creature.

Next month we'll be working on our own creatures at Ben's Dragon Workshop. Looking forward to learning something new!

August Show & Tell

Some pictures from our August meeting. The first few pictures are Show & Tells of projects our members have been working on.

Below we have several WIPs. All those creature feet & hands are elements of the "dragon" we'll be working on at the October workshop.

Ben will be teaching the workshop. Here, he & Shauna are demonstrating winding wire for a strong armature.

This is a felting kit you can order from Amazon. Ben says it's a great kit & quite reasonable. We'll be felting the dragon's body.

This is a picture of most of the products on the supply list. If you weren't at the meeting, you can get a list from Laurie. If you're interested in taking part in this workshop, contact us via Facebook Messenger  https://www.facebook.com/TulsaDollArtists/

June Show & Tell

Posting a few pictures from our June regular meeting..

What IS that sneaking up on Carlyn's girl??

Why, this is the creature that Ben is going to be teaching at our October workshop!

The workshop is October 4 & 5 at Hardesty Library, in Tulsa.

Contact us if you'd like to know more about the workshop. It promises to be very informative with lots of creative potential!

TADA - Welcome the Circus!

Our club has a display at Hardesty Library this month. We decided to do a club challenge the last few months with a circus theme. Hope  you enjoy scrolling thru the photos!

And just for fun, one of our members who loves the Steampunk style, 'punked a ferris wheel she found at a local thrift store.

This coming weekend, the club welcomes renowned artists Linda Lyons & Sherri Tebow to Tulsa to conduct a sculpting workshop. Check back for those pix!
