Shauna's satyr is still a work in progress, but lookin' good!
She also brought a lovely fairy, seated on a purple mushroom. Her skirt is a vintage handkerchief.
Behind her is Carlyn's Aztec guy, whose name escapes me, but she's hoping to have him finished in time to submit to ADQ for their "mythological creatures" challenge. Let's hope Carlyn gets a third doll published!
While we're in the Aztec groove, one of our guests, a young lady who came with her Grandma Kathy, brought a lovely Barbie princess to show us.
And her little sister brought this sweet, huggable dolly.
To the right of those three is good, ol' Flo, ready to bowl.
Flo was made by Pam for TDD's summer challenge, a sports doll.
She'll be part of the July display at Hardesty Library.
Flo is fab, but this granny has taken sports to a whole new level :)
She is Doreen's whimsical creation. She does look full of mischief, doesn't she? For some reason, many of Doreen's dolls have this expression. Hmmm.
This was the door prize, made by Jennepher and won by Jayne.
Jennepher also did a demonstration for us on how to make "Butterfly Barbies."
It was a wonderful program. Thank you, Jennepher!
Our fabric swap was a little smaller than in years past, but since dear Shirley sent us so many goodies recently, we're probably well stocked in our fabric stashes.
It was a fun meeting, full of wonderful dolls, an informative program, lots of good food & lively conversation. And by unanimous vote, all officers will remain the same for the next year. We're already halfway thru 2016, but there's still lots of great projects ahead for TDD. Please visit us next month!
